SUMMARY:Non residential camp
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our first non residential camp! \nWe are very excited to be able to bring this to you this year. \nWe require riders\, as a minimum\, to safely be walking\, trotting and steering independently. Rider who are already in a group will already be achieving this. Don’t worry!\, you still have time to get your child’s riding skills brushed up by booking some 1:1 lessons\, please let the instructor know that this is your goal to get to camp. \nBody protectors\, own hats and gloves are compulsory every day \n9.30am to 4pm \nThere will be a LOT going on ( things may change due to weather but this is a good idea of what to expect) : \nDay 1 \nIntroduction and safety talk \nCatching in your pony \nPlaiting demo which sleekly moves on to plaiting /turnout and a grooming badge for our Pony Club members and a certificate of achievement for our non Pony Club members \nLunch time yards \nLUNCH ( you’ll need it\, it’ll have been a busy morning!) \nDressage in the afternoon. \n11yo Lilly who has just represented England in the Pony Club in the PCIA dressage competition and been part of the WINNING team and has just competed in the British Dressage Youth Inter Regionals will do a demo to music. \nFeeling inspired\, the riders will tack up\, warm up and then ride their test . Rosettes will be awarded. These can be learned in advance \nIt will then be un-tack\, unplait\, feedback and turn out the ponies for the night. \nHome time \nDay 2 \nCatch in your pony \nLearn how to course build show jumps\, how to walk it including pacing out horse strides. \nGrooming\, tack cleaning and safety checks. Badges and certificates will be awarded \nLunch time yards \nLUNCH \nA jumping demo from Jamey with the lovely Bob \nFeeling inspired ! A jumping competition after lunch ( don’t worry if your rider is not at this level yet\, they will be doing poles on the ground ) \nJumps away\, horses turned out and yards re-set \nHome time \nDay 3 \nCatch in your pony \nGroom\, decorate and learn points of the pony. Badges and certificates awarded \nMusical floor plan learnt on foot \nLUNCH \nDrill riding and riding through the floor plan/dressage to music.Parents VERY welcome to come and watch. \nPrize giving \nPonies away \nHOME \nA packed lunch and plenty of snacks are required every day. Lots of water to drink. Sun-cream if its hot and plenty of layers if its cold. Tops covering the tops of the arms must be worn at all times. We will likely be out on the farm if it is dry. If we are in fields with horses \, hard hats will be worn\, if we are in empty fields \, sun hats are allowed. \nBody protectors \, own hats and gloves are compulsory every day. \nPrice on application.
